Why the scope doesn't fit my gun? Type 1 of POSP mounting (SVD, SKS type or Dragunov type). Type 2 of POSP mounting (AK (Saiga/Vepr) type). Illumination of the ret of the POSP sight does not shine. What can I do?
Type 1 or Dragunov style mount found on the POSP-type rifle scope. This type of mounting clamp has a forward placed stop pin. The clamp has to slide all the way forward on the rail with the pin being guided by the groove in the rail until it catches the closed end of the groove in the left most position. REMEMBER that the scopes with the Type-1 mounting clamp will properly fit the plate on your rifle ONLY if the frond end of the groove is CLOSED. Closed middle grove won't allow the scope to come off at the other end of the rail and the scope will always retain its "zero".
Type 2 (AK type) of mounting clamp has the rear placed stop pin and designed to fit mounting plates found on AK, Saiga, and Vepr rifles. The clamp has to slide forward on the rail until it is being stopped as the pin comes against the back (right) end of the mounting plate. REMEMBER that the scopes with the AK/Saiga type mounting clamp will properly fit the plate on your rifle ONLY if the plate has a CLOSED right end of the rail. This mount places the scope a little higher on the weapon and not as far forward as the type 1 mount.
You can
remove many problems of illumination independently. Please,
